Sometimes when I try to watch anything it doesn’t go past the loading screen of a movie/tv show? Does anyone know why and a quick/easy fix for this issue? thank you.

My Family Cinema is only a catalog of movies and TV shows. It does not host the content you watch on it. The actual video resources are provided by the clouds you import in the app. And, as far as I know, they can be hosted on different servers, some with better network infrastructure (more servers scattered worldwide or higher throughput, generally closer to you), some with worse network infrastructure (less servers scattered worldwide or less network throughput, generally further away from you). Performance may vary because of this, and is also influenced by other factors, including your Internet connection speed.

That said, these are things one can try before deciding to use another service:

1. Check your connection is good enough from within the MFC app. If you do so, please provide your results for further analysis.

2. Connect a different cloud. When you purchase MFC, you usually receive a cloud link / URL which you have to enter in the app in order for it to connect video resources to the catalog (so it knows where to load the videos from). What some people don't know is that there are some "premium" clouds (which cost extra and are provided by different vendors) that usually serve videos in better quality, fills in some content that displays as "not connected" (is unavailable) when using the regular cloud and may be hosted in a location that loads faster to you (either because it's closer or has better network infrastructure).

3. Try changing your DNS server address. Depending on what hardware you have, there are multiple ways to do this (Android TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick / Fire TV Stick 4K, something else?).

A different DNS server address can usually also be set in your Network router settings. One option is to use Cloudflare's DNS servers' addresses (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1).

Where these settings are varies from router to router, but they are generally similar enough so it shouldn't be a big hassle to change.

4. Try a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. Most of the time, a VPN will actually slow down your connection. That's because with a VPN your network traffic is tunneled through a more select set of servers. On the other hand, distant physical servers can sometimes communicate more effectively and perform better than your average connection.

5. Wait for the official MFC support to provide further suggestions.
